Job summary

Dis-Chem Pharmacies Valley View store is seeking a Retail Store Assistant to support store management, ensure smooth operations, and uphold company policy and customer service standards. You will handle customer complements and complaints, maintain stock accuracy, process refunds and returns, and assist with cash and float management at the point of sale.

The ideal candidate has Grade 12, basic computer skills (Word, Excel, Outlook) and SAP, plus retail experience; drivers license is a plus

Qualifications

• Grade 12 / Matric is required.
• Proficiency with Word, Excel and Outlook; SAP experience is preferred.
• Retail experience is essential.

Responsibilities

• Manage and report customer complements and complaints to management.
• Establish a professional relationship with customers.
• Handle stock queries and resolve issues.
• Maintain external communication with customers when feedback is needed.
• Assist customers and refer to appropriate departments.
• Manage cash handling, refunds, and returns at the point of sale.
• Verify deliveries and invoices for accuracy.
• Prepare daily run reconciliations and float management.
• Maintain document control including petty cash.
