P&L is seeking an Assistant Retail Operation Manager (Internal Applications Only) to safeguard and grow market share within the store according to Store, Area and Company strategy. You will lead day-to-day operations, drive sales, and ensure safe, efficient store performance.

The role requires hands-on leadership, strong admin skills, and a solid grasp of OHASA guidelines. Proficiency in MS Office, a valid driver’s license, and own transport are essential for success in this position.

Qualifications

• Grade 12 with 3+ years of related retail management experience or 5+ years.
• Minimum 2 years’ experience in similar position.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Must have own transport and cell phone.
• Valid Driver’s License and strong leadership skills.
• Sound knowledge of OHSA health and safety requirements (local/regional).

Responsabilités

• Issue and follow up quotations to generate sales.
• Manage quote process, control special orders.
• Read building plans; ensure accurate quotations within timeframes.
• Handle telephone calls, ensure follow ups.
• Conduct competitor analysis to stay competitive.
• Deliveries: manage delivery service and rates; ensure timely dispatch.
• Asset control - stock: manage shrinkage, PIC, stock takes, movement, damaged/obsolete stock.
• Customer service: implement service strategy; ensure reliable delivery; grow customer base.
• HR management: recruit and induct staff; training and development; succession planning.
• Store safety OHASA: enforce safety; complete checklists; incidents record.
