Job summary

Clicks Group Limited in Johannesburg is seeking an Assistant Store Manager for Clicks Mall of the South. You will support the Store Manager in driving sales, service excellence and store presentation to meet brand standards.

The role requires at least Grade 12, 1 year in a retail/FMCG supervisory role, and knowledge of stock, promotions and labour scheduling. You will lead a team to deliver great customer experiences and ensure operational targets are achieved.

Qualifications

• Essential: Grade 12 maths and English (50%+).
• Desirable: Degree in Retail/Business Management.
• Minimum 1 year in an assistant store management orClicks Trainee Store Management Programme.
• Financial management experience (budgets, P&L, ratios).

Responsibilities

• Drive sales via promotions, cross-sell, and superior service to meet targets.
• Handle store operations: expenses, stock, shrinkage, housekeeping, admin.
• Lead in-store visual merchandising to align with brand image.
• Support Store Manager to motivate staff and direct in their absence.
• Assist with daily staff scheduling per labour policy.
• Deliver customer service initiatives and drive club card participation.
• Complete weekly time/attendance and HR records efficiently.
