Job summary

Clicks Group Limited, based in Sandton, seeks an Assistant Store Manager for Clicks Morning Glen to support the Store Manager in delivering service excellence, driving sales and achieving targets. You will oversee daily store operations, merchandising, stock control and staff scheduling while ensuring compliance with company policies and health and beauty retail standards.

Qualifications

Essential: Grade 12 (Maths 50% and English 50%)
Desirable: Degree in Relevant Retail/Business Management
Minimum 1 year’s experience in an assistant store management role within a retail/FMCG environment or completion of Clicks Trainee Store Management Programme
Financial management experience (budgets, profit and loss statements, financial ratios, etc.)

Responsibilities

To support the Store Manager in ensuring the efficient operation of the store and service excellence by driving sales and building customer loyalty.
To maximise sales through execution of promotional activities and cross-selling, and by delivering superior customer service.
To efficiently execute store operations: expenses, stock management, shrinkage, housekeeping and administration.
To execute in-store visual merchandising and ensure alignment with brand image.
To motivate and direct staff, ensuring targets are met and providing coverage in the Store Manager’s absence.
To manage daily staff scheduling in line with labour policy and staffing models.
To implement customer service initiatives that improve the customer experience and loyalty; achieve club card targets.
To handle weekly time and attendance and maintain employee records for HR.
