Job summary

Cashbuild is seeking a General Assistant for the Shallcross store. The role focuses on delivering comprehensive customer service, merchandising stock, labeling prices, and maintaining store cleanliness within the assigned area.

You will assist customers, resolve queries and complaints, and ensure stock is displayed per planograms. Flexibility to work shifts, including weekends and public holidays, is required.

Qualifications

• Minimum Grade 10 or NQF 3 with 1 year work-related experience.
• Grade 12 without related work experience.
• Ability to communicate in English and the dominant local language.
• Valid South African ID or work permit.
• Ability to perform basic calculations accurately.
• Must be willing to work shifts, weekends and public holidays.
• Must be able to work under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Advise and assist customers on correct products and queries.
• Assist with and resolve customer complaints.
• Merchandise bulk stock safely according to store layout.
• Ensure area is fully merchandised according to planograms.
• Keep area free of obstacles and ensure safe customer access.
• Maintains accurate shelf price labelling within area.
