Job summary

Cashbuild Limited seeks a General Assistant to ensure comprehensive customer service in store, assist with merchandising and price labelling, and maintain housekeeping within the assigned area.

The role requires English and local language communication, basic math skills, and the ability to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays. You must have a valid SA ID or work permit and be able to work under pressure.

Qualifications

• Minimum Grade 10 or NQF 3 with 1 year related experience.
• Grade 12 without related work experience.
• Ability to communicate in English and the dominant language spoken locally.
• Valid South African ID or work permit.
• Ability to perform basic calculations accurately.
• Willing to work shifts, weekends and public holidays.
• Must be able to work under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Advise and assist customers on correct products and queries.
• Assist with and resolve customer complaints.
• Bulk stock area to be merchandised safely and according to store layout plan.
• Ensure your area is fully merchandised according to store layout and planograms.
• Keep area free of obstacles and ensure safe customer access in your aisle.
