Job summary

Dis-Chem Vorna Valley is seeking a Frontshop Assistant to uphold merchandising standards and support customer service at the point of sale in line with Dis-Chem policies.

Essential experience includes Grade 12 and 0–6 months in retail. Advantageous: 1 year retail experience and certification in Retail Business Management. You will maintain shelves, process transactions, and assist with stock and customer inquiries.

Qualifications

• Basic knowledge of retail operations and administration.
• Be able to follow procedures and report issues promptly.
• Customer-focused with numerical accuracy for transactions.

Responsibilities

• Ensure full product ranges are on shelves and neatly presented.
• Maintain stock and prevent sell-by-date items; restock as needed.
• Process purchases and handle payments (cash, cards, vouchers).
• Handle returns with the Frontshop Leader's guidance and update stock records.
• Keep storeroom organized and report stock discrepancies to management.
• Provide friendly customer service and share product knowledge.
• Adhere to Dis-Chem policies, health and safety rules, and uniform policy.
