Job summary

Dis-Chem Pharmacies requires a Cosmetic Frontshop Assistant for the Thavhani Mall store. You will uphold merchandising standards while supporting customer service at the point of sale, in line with Dis-Chem policies.

Essential: Grade 12, 0–6 months retail experience, 1 year cosmetics retail preferred, retail certification, and MS Office skills. Willing to work retail hours with reliable transport if needed.

Qualifications

• Grade 12 / Matric is required.
• Certification in Retail or related field is required.
• Minimum 0–6 months retail experience; 1 year cosmetics retail preferred.

Responsibilities

• Keep full product ranges on shelves and neatly presented.
• Maintain shelf stock and ensure sell-by dates are not reached.
• Restock merchandise to maximise sales.
• Handle cash flow and payments per policy.
• Approve price changes with supervisor where required.
• Exchange goods and process returns per policy.
• Process purchases and payments (cash, card, vouchers, etc.).
• Store delivered stock correctly and ensure shelves reflect stock.
• Assist customers with friendly, helpful service and advice.
• Follow up on out-of-stock queries with service desk.
• Deposit cash per procedures and verify payments.
• Adhere to security policies, use of codes/passwords, and health & safety rules.
