Job summary

Ability Executive Recruitment is seeking an Operations Centre Manager in Roodepoort, South Africa. The role combines shopping centre management with facilities and operational oversight to ensure safety, cleanliness, and top-tier tenant and customer experiences.

The successful candidate will manage day-to-day centre operations, build strong tenant relationships, coordinate maintenance and contractor activities, and ensure compliance with health, safety and lease obligations.

Qualifications

• Relevant qualification in Property Management, Facilities Management, Operations Management or Building Management.
• Approximately 5+ years' experience in retail property, shopping centre, facilities or commercial property management.
• Previous experience in a shopping centre or retail property environment is strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Take responsibility for the day-to-day management and smooth operation of the shopping centre.
• Build and maintain strong professional relationships with tenants, store managers and key stakeholders.
• Act as the primary point of contact for tenant operational queries, complaints and centre-related matters.
• Coordinate tenant meetings and communicate relevant centre information, planned works and operational changes.
• Manage facilities and operational requirements, including maintenance programmes and safety compliance.
• Oversee security, risk management, and contractor/service provider coordination to ensure safe, compliant operations.
