Placements24 is seeking an accomplished Area Operations Director to oversee operations across multiple store locations in Centurion, Gauteng. You will lead strategic initiatives, optimize profitability, and ensure consistent brand standards while developing diverse teams.

In this senior role, you’ll drive sales growth, manage P&L, and collaborate with head office on marketing and operational programs, shaping the retail ecosystem and delivering excellence in customer service.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business Management, Marketing, Retail Management or related field.
• 10+ years in retail management with at least 5 years in a senior multi-site role.
• Proven track record of sales growth and profitability in retail.
• Strong understanding of inventory, merchandising and customer service.
• Excellent leadership, communication and financial acumen.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic leadership for all retail operations within the assigned geographical area.
• Drive sales performance and profitability across all stores, implementing strategies to achieve targets.
• Ensure consistent execution of brand standards, merchandising and customer service policies.
• Oversee inventory management, stock control and loss prevention.
• Recruit, train, develop and motivate store management teams and staff.
• Manage budgets, P&L statements and ensure cost control measures are effective.
• Identify market trends and competitor activities and adapt strategies accordingly.
• Ensure compliance with legal, safety and regulatory requirements.
• Collaborate with head office on marketing, visual merchandising and operational initiatives.
