Job summary

Pro Select Consulting is seeking an energetic Assistant Store Manager for Table Bay, Cape Town to guide day-to-day store operations and help achieve set targets. The role focuses on leading a store team, coaching staff, and ensuring excellent customer experience while adhering to company policies.

You will drive inventory control, merchandising, promotions, and visual standards to boost sales and profitability.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years experience in an Assistant Store Management role.

Responsibilities

• Guide and oversee the store's day-to-day activities to surpass store targets and elevate customer service standards.
• Identify training and coaching needs to support talent management and succession planning.
• Recruit, administer, and manage performance in line with company policies and procedures.
• Implement customer experience processes including policies, markdowns, repricing, promotions and visual standards.
• Conduct compliance checks to ensure adherence to defined processes.
• Identify opportunities to boost sales and enhance brand awareness.
• Provide feedback on in-store product performance to the support centre to improve sales.
• Collaborate with management on operational action plans, sales performance and store expenditure based on reports.
• Authorize write-offs, breakages, recalls, and returns to manage stock effectively.
• Maintain stockroom upkeep and meet housekeeping standards.
• Manage stock levels through defined processes to mitigate risks and ensure adequate stock on hand.
• Receive, unpack, merchandise, and replenish the sales floor to drive sales objectives.
• Lead and drive the store team to achieve KPIs and follow the operational strategy and company values.
