Job summary

Mr Price Group is seeking an Assistant Store Manager for the Table Bay store in Cape Town, Western Cape. You will support the store manager in daily operations to meet targets and customer service standards, while overseeing stock receipt, replenishment and housekeeping in the stockroom.

You will analyse sales data, drive profitability, identify opportunities to increase sales and brand awareness, and lead a team through training, coaching and performance management.

Qualifications

• Grade 12 or equivalent.
• 2–3 years’ experience in a supervisory/assistant store management role.
• Understanding of sales & service management.
• Budgeting skills.
• Proficiency in MS Office.
• Effective communication skills.
• Understanding of retail trade.
• Understanding of brand, customer & product.

Responsibilities

• Support the store manager in daily store operations to meet targets and service standards.
• Manage stock receiving, unpacking, replenishment and stockroom housekeeping.
• Monitor stock levels and mitigate stock loss.
• Analyse sales and profitability and assist in action plans to grow sales.
• Identify opportunities to increase sales and brand awareness.
• Ensure compliance with policies and procedures.
• Lead, train and develop the store team; recruit and manage performance.
