Placements24 in South Africa seeks an experienced Renewable Energy Project Manager to lead solar and wind projects from feasibility through commissioning in Gauteng. You will oversee budgets, schedules, and stakeholder relations to ensure timely delivery.

The role requires strong leadership, a technical background in engineering or related field, PMP is a plus, and familiarity with SA energy regulations. A hybrid work model is offered with growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field required.
• PMP certification is a strong asset.
• Minimum of 7 years of project management experience, with at least 3 years in renewable energy.
• Proven track record on large-scale energy infrastructure projects.
• Strong understanding of project finance, contract negotiation, and procurement in energy sector.
• Excellent leadership, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
• Familiarity with South African energy regulations and permitting processes.

Responsibilities

• Manage full lifecycle of renewable energy projects from feasibility to commissioning.
• Develop and manage budgets, schedules, and resource allocation.
• Coordinate with engineering, procurement, and construction teams to meet standards.
• Liaise with authorities, utility companies, and stakeholders for approvals.
• Identify and mitigate project risks and develop contingency plans.
• Provide regular progress reports to senior management on milestones and KPIs.
