Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Environmental Science, or related field.
• PMP or equivalent certification is highly valued.
• Minimum 6 years project management experience, 3+ years in renewables (solar, wind, hydro).
• Experience managing budgets above R10 million.
• Strong renewable energy tech, grid integration, and energy policy knowledge.
• Excellent leadership, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency with project software (MS Project, Primavera P6).
• Willingness to travel and work in a hybrid environment.
• Familiarity with environmental impact assessments and permitting processes.

Responsibilities

• Manage lifecycle of renewable energy projects from feasibility to commissioning.
• Develop detailed project plans including scope, scheduling, resources, and budget.
• Coordinate with engineering, construction, regulatory bodies, and communities.
• Ensure compliance with environmental, health, and safety regulations.
• Monitor progress, identify risks, and implement mitigation strategies.
• Manage contractor and supplier relationships for quality and timely delivery.
• Conduct site assessments and supervise on-site construction and installation activities.
• Communicate project status to senior management and stakeholders.
