Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a dynamic Business Development Manager to lead growth in the renewable energy space from Port Elizabeth, Eastern Cape. You will identify new opportunities, build strategic partnerships and drive revenue, engaging developers, manufacturers and service providers across the value chain.

In this hybrid role you will balance office-based strategic planning with frequent client interactions, travel across the Eastern Cape, and hands-on deal negotiation to meet ambitious targets

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (Business Administration, Engineering, Environmental Science or related)
• 5+ years of experience in business development, sales or related roles within renewables
• Strong knowledge of renewable energy market, stakeholders, and regulations
• Excellent communication, negotiation and interpersonal skills

Responsibilities

• Identify and pursue new business opportunities within renewables across technologies (solar, wind, hydro, etc.)
• Develop and implement strategic sales plans to achieve revenue objectives
• Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, partners and stakeholders
• Conduct market research to identify trends, competitors and new markets
• Prepare and deliver compelling proposals, tenders and presentations
• Negotiate contracts and close deals to meet targets
• Collaborate with internal teams to ensure project delivery and client satisfaction
• Represent the company at industry events and conferences
• Provide market feedback to product development and marketing teams
• Monitor sales performance and report key metrics to senior management
