Placements24 seeks a motivated Remote Youth Mentor & Support Specialist to provide virtual guidance, support, and mentorship to young people facing personal, academic, or social challenges. This remote-first role uses online platforms to build trust and help youth set achievable goals.

You will run one-on-one mentorship, lead online group sessions, monitor progress, and connect youths with resources. Strong communication, digital literacy, and independence in a remote setting are essential,

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Youth Development, Psychology, Social Work, Education, or a related field.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in youth work, mentoring, counselling, or a related field.
• Proven ability to build rapport and trust with young people virtually.
• Excellent communication, active listening, and digital literacy skills.
• Familiarity with online communication tools and platforms (Zoom, Teams, Slack).
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a remote setting.

Responsibilities

• Provide virtual one-on-one mentorship and support to assigned youth caseload.
• Develop personalized action plans with youth to address developmental and personal goals.
• Facilitate engaging online group sessions and workshops on relevant life skills.
• Monitor youth progress and provide regular feedback to youth, parents/guardians, and program management.
• Connect youth with appropriate online resources and community support services.
• Maintain accurate and confidential digital records of all interactions and progress.
