Placements24 is seeking a Water Resources Engineer to join a leading environmental and civil engineering consultancy, focusing on Richards Bay, KwaZulu-Natal. You will design and manage water and wastewater systems, develop hydrological studies, and mentor junior staff while working remotely.

The role requires 7+ years of experience, proficiency in hydraulic modeling software, and a strong understanding of water treatment and stormwater management.

Qualifikationen

• Progressive experience in water resources engineering with design and PM.
• Experience in hydraulic modeling and water/wastewater systems.
• Familiarity with SA water regulations and environmental processes.
• Ability to communicate technical information remotely.

Aufgaben

• Conduct hydraulic modeling for water supply and wastewater systems.
• Design water and wastewater treatment facilities and related infra.
• Develop hydrological studies, flood risk assessments, and stormwater plans.
• Prepare designs, specs and cost estimates for water projects.
• Coordinate with clients, authorities, and regulators for approvals.
• Support remote procurement and construction phases with guidance.
• Visit sites as required and ensure safety protocols.
• Contribute to long-term water resource management strategies.
