Job summary

Placements24 is actively seeking a highly skilled VoIP Systems Administrator to join a fully remote IT department. The role focuses on managing, maintaining, and optimizing the VoIP telephony infrastructure to ensure reliability, security, and performance across the organization.

You will install, configure, monitor, and secure VoIP platforms, while providing end-user support and maintaining call routing, extensions, and voicemail settings from a home-based work setup.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a VoIP Systems Administrator or in a similar role.
• In-depth knowledge of VoIP protocols (SIP, H.323) and related technologies.
• Experience with major VoIP platforms (Asterisk, Cisco CallManager, Microsoft Teams Voice).
• Strong troubleshooting skills for diagnosing and resolving voice communication problems.
• Familiarity with network infrastructure and its impact on VoIP performance.

Responsibilities

• Install, configure, and maintain VoIP platforms, PBX systems, and related hardware/software.
• Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and implement solutions to ensure high availability and quality of service.
• Manage user accounts, extensions, call routing rules, and voicemail settings.
• Implement security measures to protect the VoIP system from unauthorized access and threats.
• Provide technical support to end-users for VoIP-related issues and inquiries.
