Placements24 is seeking an experienced Voice Network Engineer to join our engineering team in a fully remote capacity, supporting a distributed workforce and client base including East London.

The role focuses on VoIP design, implementation, and ongoing management, ensuring secure, high-quality voice services. You will optimize SIP-based networks and collaborate with IT teams and vendors.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience.
• 5+ years of experience in voice network engineering.
• Expert knowledge of SIP, H.323, RTP and related voice protocols.
• Experience with unified communications platforms (Cisco Call Manager, Avaya, Asterisk).

Responsibilities

• Design, deploy, and maintain VoIP systems, PBX, and related voice infrastructure.
• Monitor voice network performance, troubleshoot issues, and ensure high availability.
• Manage SIP trunking, codecs, and other voice protocols.
• Implement security measures to protect voice networks.
• Collaborate with IT teams and vendors to integrate voice solutions with other services.
