Placements24 is seeking a Transportation Engineer to join a fully remote team. You will analyze traffic patterns, develop innovative mobility plans, and contribute to design of transportation infrastructure for safer, more efficient networks.

The role emphasizes cross-functional collaboration with urban planners and government agencies, utilizing cutting-edge tools to influence project development from anywhere.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering with a specialization in Transportation Engineering.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in transportation engineering, focusing on traffic analysis and planning.
• Proficiency in traffic modeling software (Vissim, Synchro, CORSIM) and GIS/data analysis tools.
• Strong understanding of traffic engineering principles and MUTCD standards.

Responsibilities

• Conduct traffic studies, capacity analyses, and traffic simulation modeling for road networks and intersections.
• Develop transportation plans including long-range mobility strategies, transit planning, and pedestrian/bicycle infrastructure.
• Design traffic control systems, signal timing plans, and intersection improvements.
• Prepare TIAs for development projects.
• Collaborate with urban planners, government agencies, and community stakeholders.
