Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a Remote Civil Transportation Engineer to design, analyze, and plan transportation systems for major infrastructure projects from a remote location. The role focuses on roads, highways, and public transit, with collaboration across dispersed teams of engineers and planners.

You will work independently yet stay aligned with project managers and clients, delivering safe, efficient, and sustainable solutions while keeping up with evolving design standards and technologies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering with a specialization in Transportation Engineering.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in transportation infrastructure design.
• Proficiency in transportation design software (AutoCAD Civil 3D, Vissim, Synchro) and GIS tools.
• Strong understanding of traffic engineering principles, geometric design, and pavement design.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills for complex transportation challenges.
• Proven ability to work independently and communicate effectively in a remote setting.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop plans for transportation infrastructure, such as roadways, intersections, and traffic management systems.
• Conduct traffic analyses, modeling, and simulations to evaluate system performance and capacity.
• Prepare technical reports, environmental impact assessments, and construction documentation.
• Collaborate virtually with project managers, urban planners, and other engineering disciplines.
• Ensure designs comply with national and local transportation standards and roadway design guidelines.
• Stay abreast of emerging trends and technologies in transportation engineering.
