Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering with a Transportation Engineering specialization.
- Minimum of 6 years in transportation planning and design.
- Proficiency in transportation planning software (PTV Vissim, TransCAD or similar).
- Strong understanding of traffic engineering, geometric design and network analysis.
- Experience with municipal or provincial authorities in Gauteng.
Responsibilities
- Develop transportation models and conduct traffic impact assessments for new developments.
- Design road networks, intersections, and public transport facilities to optimize traffic flow and safety.
- Prepare traffic management plans for major events and construction phases.
- Collaborate with city planners and government agencies on long-term strategies.
- Stay abreast of emerging trends and technologies in transportation engineering.
- Ensure designs comply with national and provincial standards and regulations.
