Placements24 is seeking a dedicated Remote Telecoms Technician to join our fully remote operations team. You will diagnose and resolve telecoms issues, perform remote configurations, and support the company’s connectivity for users from a distance.

The role emphasizes independent work, precise communication, and detailed ticketing to keep systems running smoothly. The ideal candidate works well in a virtual environment, communicates clearly, and maintains thorough records.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Telecoms Technician or in a similar IT support role.
• Strong understanding of VoIP, cellular networks, and data transmission.
• Proficient in remote diagnostics and troubleshooting.
• Familiar with routers, switches, and modems.
• Excellent problem-solving and customer service skills.
• Ability to work independently in a remote setting.

Responsibilities

• Provide remote technical support for network hardware and software issues in telecoms systems.
• Perform remote diagnostics, troubleshooting, and resolution of connectivity and performance problems.
• Configure, install, and manage network devices and services per procedures.
• Monitor network performance and proactively identify potential issues.
• Document issues, solutions, and configurations in the ticketing system.
• Collaborate with senior engineers on network upgrades and maintenance projects.
