Placements24 is seeking a dedicated Remote Telecommunications Technician to join its expanding support network. You will diagnose and resolve a wide range of technical issues related to network connectivity, equipment, and services for customers from a home office.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Telecommunications Technician or in a similar technical support role.
• Strong understanding of networking concepts, including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and VPNs.
• Familiarity with various telecommunications equipment and protocols (e.g., VoIP, fiber optics, cellular).
• Excellent diagnostic and problem-solving abilities.
• Proficiency with remote access tools and ticketing systems.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to explain technical concepts clearly.

Responsibilities

• Provide remote technical support and troubleshooting for telecommunications hardware, software, and network issues.
• Diagnose and resolve customer-reported problems via phone, email, and remote access tools.
• Perform remote configuration, installation, and maintenance of network devices and services.
• Document all technical issues, solutions, and customer interactions accurately in the ticketing system.
• Escalate complex unresolved issues to senior technical staff or specialized teams.
• Monitor network performance and proactively identify potential problems.
