Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a proactive Telecommunications Field Engineer to join its remote team. You will provide expert technical support, installation, and maintenance of telecommunications equipment across client sites, managed remotely from home.

The ideal candidate has 4+ years of experience, strong IP networking, wireless technologies and cellular infrastructure knowledge, and proficiency with remote management tools.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Telecommunications Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field, or equivalent experience.
• Minimum of 4 years of experience in telecommunications engineering or field support.
• Strong knowledge of IP networking, wireless technologies, and cellular infrastructure.
• Proficiency with remote management and diagnostic tools.
• Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities effectively in a remote work environment.

Responsibilities

• Remotely diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve complex telecommunications hardware and software issues.
• Provide technical guidance and support to field technicians during installations and maintenance activities.
• Develop and implement preventative maintenance schedules for telecommunications equipment.
• Manage network configurations and updates remotely to ensure optimal performance and security.
• Collaborate with engineering and support teams to identify root causes of recurring technical problems.
• Maintain detailed records of service calls, repairs, and system performance metrics.
