Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a skilled Remote Telecoms Network Administrator to manage and maintain our client's network infrastructure from anywhere in the country. You will monitor performance and security, provide remote support to users, implement network hardening, run backups, and coordinate with remote teams to ensure reliability and uptime.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field, or equivalent work experience.
3–5 years of experience as a Network Administrator or similar role in the telecoms industry.
Proficiency with TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, operating systems (Windows Server, Linux), and network hardware.
Experience with network security best practices and VPN technologies.
Strong remote troubleshooting, organizational, and communication skills for a virtual environment.

Responsibilities

Administer and maintain network devices, servers, and communication systems, including routers, switches, and firewalls.
Monitor network performance and security, responding promptly to alerts and potential threats.
Provide remote technical support to users, troubleshooting network connectivity and system issues.
Implement network security measures and ensure compliance with data protection policies.
Perform regular system backups, software updates, and hardware maintenance as required.
