Job summary

Placements24 in South Africa seeks a proactive Telecoms Network Operations Specialist to join our fully remote operations center. You will monitor network health, respond to incidents, and perform routine maintenance to ensure service availability for customers.

Qualifications

Proven experience in telecom network operations or related field.
Strong understanding of TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF and network infrastructure.
Experience with network monitoring and diagnostic tools.

Responsibilities

Monitor the health and performance of the telecommunications network using advanced network management tools.
Respond promptly to network incidents and outages, performing initial troubleshooting and escalation as needed.
Execute routine network maintenance tasks, including software updates and configuration changes.
Analyze network data to identify trends and opportunities for optimization.
Collaborate with engineering and support teams to resolve complex network problems.
Maintain accurate incident logs and documentation of all network operations activities.
