Placements24 is seeking a skilled Telecoms Network Administrator for a remote role in South Africa. You will manage the telecoms infrastructure, monitor health, troubleshoot issues, and implement upgrades to ensure uptime and security.

The ideal candidate has 3–5 years in network administration, strong knowledge of TCP/IP, DNS/DHCP, VPNs, and experience with VoIP systems. Remote work flexibility is offered, with off-peak maintenance windows.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in IT, CS, or related field.
3–5 years of network administration experience in telecommunications.
Proficiency with routers, switches, and firewalls from multiple vendors.
Strong TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPNs, and network protocols knowledge.
Experience with VoIP and unified communications is desirable.
Ability to work independently in a remote setting.

Responsibilities

Administer and maintain the telecommunications network across voice, data, and video systems.
Monitor performance and proactively resolve potential issues.
Install, configure, and manage network hardware and software for security and performance.
Implement security measures to protect against threats.
Provide end-user support for network-related issues.
Plan and execute upgrades and maintenance during off-peak hours.
