Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a detail-oriented Installation and Configuration Technician to join its remote operations team. The role focuses on the setup and optimization of systems and software for clients, primarily managed through remote access.

You will install, configure, test, troubleshoot, and document configurations, working independently in a virtual environment. A solid grasp of Windows and Linux, remote management tools, and strong communication are essential.

Qualifications

• Requirements include: experience in technical installation, configuration or support roles.
• Proficiency with Windows and Linux operating systems and common software applications.
• Experience with remote access tools and remote management software.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities and excellent written and verbal communication.

Responsibilities

• Perform remote installation and configuration of software and hardware components according to established procedures.
• Test and validate system configurations post-installation to ensure proper functionality and integration.
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues encountered during the installation or configuration process.
• Document all installation steps, configurations, and resolutions in detail within the project management system.
