Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a highly capable and self-motivated Remote Systems Administrator to manage and maintain our client’s server infrastructure from any location. This fully remote role offers flexibility to work independently while collaborating with cross-functional teams to support business operations.

The ideal candidate has experience with Windows/Linux servers, virtualization, cloud platforms, scripting, and security.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Systems Administrator or similar IT infrastructure role.
• Strong knowledge of server operating systems, virtualization technologies, and cloud platforms.
• Experience with scripting languages for automation.
• Proficiency in managing network services, storage, and security configurations.

Responsibilities

• Install, configure, manage, and maintain server OS (Windows Server, Linux).
• Monitor system performance and ensure high availability.
• Implement and manage system security measures, patching and access control.
• Perform regular backups and develop disaster recovery plans.
• Manage user accounts, permissions, and Active Directory environments.
• Provide technical support and collaborate with IT teams.
