Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a highly skilled Remote Systems Administrator to manage and maintain IT infrastructure from anywhere. You will oversee servers, networks, and applications, ensuring stability, security, and performance with a strong focus on remote operations.

You will deploy, monitor, troubleshoot, and support users remotely, leveraging expertise in Windows Server, Linux, virtualization (VMware/Hyper-V), and cloud platforms.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Systems Administrator with remote management.
• Strong expertise in Windows Server and Linux environments, virtualization, and cloud platforms.
• Solid understanding of networking (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPNs).
• Proficiency in scripting for automation (PowerShell, Bash).
• Excellent troubleshooting and remote communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Administer and maintain server infrastructure (physical and virtual) including OS, storage, and backups.
• Monitor performance, availability, and security; implement proactive measures.
• Install, configure, and upgrade OS and application software across the network.
• Provide remote user support; troubleshoot hardware, software, and network issues.
• Develop and implement disaster recovery and business continuity plans.
• Manage user accounts, permissions, and access controls.
