Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a reliable System Administrator for our fully remote IT operations team. You will maintain the stability, performance, and security of our infrastructure, manage servers, networks, and IT systems, and provide technical support.

The ideal candidate has 3+ years of experience with Windows and Linux, virtualization (VMware/Hyper-V), and scripting (PowerShell or Bash). This role offers remote work flexibility and opportunities for advanced IT certifications.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field or equivalent practical experience.
• Minimum of 3 years as a System Administrator or similar role.
• Proficiency in managing Windows Server and Linux environments.
• Experience with virtualization technologies (VMware, Hyper-V).
• Strong understanding of networking concepts and troubleshooting.
• Familiarity with scripting languages (PowerShell, Bash) for automation is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Install, configure, and maintain operating systems (Windows Server, Linux).
• Manage server hardware, virtualization platforms (VMware, Hyper-V), and storage systems.
• Monitor system performance, identify bottlenecks, and optimize efficiency.
• Implement and maintain system security measures, including access controls and patching.
• Provide technical support and troubleshooting for system-related issues.
• Develop and maintain system documentation and procedures.
