Placements24 seeks an experienced Structural Design Engineer for a remote-first role supporting industrial facilities. You will design robust structures, run complex analyses, and ensure safety and compliance across diverse projects.

Occasional site visits may be required to verify field conditions and results. Applicants should have a strong civil/structural engineering background, 6+ years of industrial experience, and proficiency in STAAD.Pro, SAP2000, ETABS, and BIM tools such as Revit

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's in Civil/Structural Engineering.
• Minimum 6 years of experience in structural design for industrial facilities.
• Proficiency with STAAD.Pro, SAP2000 or ETABS and 3D BIM (Revit Structure) is expected.

Responsibilities

• Design and analyze structural systems for industrial facilities and equipment supports.
• Perform structural calculations for loads, stresses and displacements using standard software.
• Prepare detailed drawings, specifications and calculation reports.
• Ensure designs comply with SANS and international codes.
• Collaborate with architects, mechanical engineers and construction teams.
• Review shop drawings and submittals from contractors.
• Conduct site visits for inspections during construction as needed.
• Assess existing facilities and recommend modifications.
• Keep up-to-date with advancements in structural software and techniques.
