Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a Remote Structural Engineer to join its fully remote team. You will lead structural design and analysis for diverse projects, ensuring safety, code compliance, and practical solutions across SA and international markets.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Structural Engineering or related field.
• Professional registration (e.g., Pr.Eng.) with ECSA or equivalent.
• Minimum of 5 years' experience in structural design, preferably in a consulting environment.
• Proficiency in structural analysis software (SAP2000, ETABS, Revit Structure) and CAD tools.

Responsibilities

• Perform structural analysis and design for new constructions and renovations using advanced software.
• Prepare detailed structural drawings, specifications, and technical reports.
• Collaborate remotely with architects, project managers, and other engineers to integrate structural designs.
• Conduct site visit assessments (where necessary and feasible remotely) or coordinate with local representatives.
• Ensure designs comply with relevant building codes, standards, and regulations for projects in SA and internationally.
• Review contractor submittals and respond to RFIs in a timely manner.
