Placements24 is seeking a remote Sommelier & Wine Educator to curate wine lists, host online tastings, and develop educational content for a global audience. The role is fully remote, enabling you to share your wine expertise from home.

Requirements include a CMS or WSET diploma, 5+ years in fine dining or wine education, and strong English communication. You will engage with customers via virtual sessions and collaborate with marketing on events.

Qualifications

Certified Sommelier qualification essential.
5+ years experience in fine dining, luxury retail, or wine education.
Knowledge of global wine regions, varietals, viticulture, and oenology.
Strong presentation and public speaking for virtual environments.
Proficiency in online conferencing tools and content creation platforms.
Excellent written and verbal communication in English.

Responsibilities

Develop and maintain curated wine lists and pairing recommendations for online subscribers.
Conduct live virtual wine tastings, educational webinars, and one-on-one sommelier consultations.
Create engaging written and video content on wine varietals, regions, and food pairings.
Provide expert advice and personalized recommendations to customers seeking specific wine experiences.
Stay abreast of industry trends, new wine releases, and emerging regions to inform content and recommendations.
Collaborate with the marketing team to promote wine offerings and educational events.
