Placements24 seeks an experienced Remote Sommelier and Wine Educator to curate exceptional wine experiences for a global audience from Stellenbosch. You will advise clients, develop virtual tastings, and create engaging content that educates and inspires wine lovers.

Qualifications

• Advanced Sommelier certification (Court of Master Sommeliers, WSET Level 3 or higher).
• Minimum 3 years as a Sommelier or in a related wine expert role.
• Exceptional knowledge of global wine regions, varietals, and production methods.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and content creation skills.
• Proficiency in using online communication tools and content management systems.

Responsibilities

• Provide expert wine recommendations and personalized pairings based on client preferences.
• Develop and deliver engaging virtual wine tastings and educational workshops.
• Create high-quality written and visual content about wines, regions, and pairings for the online platform.
• Manage online inventory and ensure accurate product descriptions and pricing.
• Stay updated on global wine trends, new releases, and emerging producers.
• Respond to customer inquiries regarding wine selection, storage, and serving.
• Collaborate with marketing teams on wine-related campaigns and promotions.
