Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a Senior Solar Project Developer for a fully remote role. You will manage the development lifecycle from site acquisition to PPAs and financing, collaborating with internal teams and external partners.

The ideal candidate has 7+ years in solar development, strong negotiation, and deep industry knowledge to navigate regulatory and financial landscapes in a remote setting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Finance, or Business.
• 7+ years in solar project development or closely related field.
• Proven track record in developing and financing utility-scale or distributed solar projects.
• In-depth knowledge of solar industry, technologies, markets, and regulatory frameworks.
• Strong financial acumen, including project finance and PPA negotiation.
• Excellent negotiation, communication, and relationship-building skills.

Responsibilities

• Identify and assess solar development sites, including land acquisition and due diligence.
• Conduct feasibility studies: resource assessment, grid interconnection, and preliminary design.
• Develop budgets, financial models, and pro-forma statements.
• Negotiate and secure PPAs and other project contracts.
• Manage permitting and entitlement processes with authorities.
• Build and maintain relationships with landowners, utilities, and off-takers.
