Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a dedicated Remote Solar Power Systems Engineer to design, implement, and optimize solar PV systems for a diverse client base. This role operates fully remotely from SA and emphasizes independent project management and cutting-edge solar tech.

You will develop specifications, analyze performance, and troubleshoot remotely while staying current with industry advancements to deliver sustainable solutions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field.
• Minimum of 4 years of experience designing and implementing solar PV systems.
• Proficiency with solar design software (e.g., PVsyst, Helioscope) and CAD tools.
• Strong understanding of electrical principles, battery storage solutions, and grid-tie systems.
• Excellent remote communication and collaboration skills, with a proven ability to manage projects independently.

Responsibilities

• Design and engineer scalable solar photovoltaic (PV) systems for residential, commercial, and industrial applications.
• Conduct site assessments using remote sensing data and client-provided information to ensure optimal system design.
• Develop technical specifications, drawings, and performance simulations for solar installations.
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to solar power systems remotely.
• Stay abreast of the latest advancements in solar technology and recommend system enhancements.
