Placements24 is seeking a talented Remote Electrical Design Engineer with a focus on renewable energy to join a fully remote team. The role involves designing electrical systems for solar, wind, storage, and other green projects, including load calculations and single-line diagrams.

You will collaborate with a dispersed group of engineers and project managers, ensuring designs meet specifications, budgets, and timelines while staying current with energy-tech advancements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or closely related field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in electrical design, with renewable energy focus (solar, wind, storage).
• Proficiency in electrical design software and simulation tools for renewables.
• Solid understanding of power electronics, inverters, charge controllers, and battery management.
• Excellent communication and remote collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

• Design electrical systems for renewable energy installations (grid-tied and off-grid).
• Perform load calculations and system sizing for solar PV, storage, and wind integration.
• Develop single-line diagrams and wiring schematics with technical specs.
• Collaborate with project managers and stakeholders to meet requirements, budget and timelines.
• Stay updated on renewable energy tech and best practices.
