About the Role

This is a fully remote position, allowing you to contribute your expertise from anywhere in South Africa . You will be responsible for overseeing the entire project lifecycle, from initial feasibility studies and permitting through to construction, commissioning, and handover. This role demands exceptional organizational skills, a deep understanding of solar technologies, and the ability to manage cross-functional teams and external stakeholders effectively. Key Responsibilities

• Manage all phases of solar energy projects, ensuring on-time and within-budget delivery.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Electrical, Mechanical, Civil) or a related technical field.
• Proven experience (5+ years) in project management within the solar energy or broader renewable energy sector.
• Demonstrated success in managing complex, large-scale solar PV projects from concept to completion.
• Strong knowledge of solar technologies, grid interconnection, and relevant regulations.
• Proficiency with project management software (e.g., MS Project, Primavera P6).
• Excellent leadership, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities effectively in a remote setting.
• Strong financial acumen and experience with project budgeting and cost control.
• PMP or equivalent project management certification is a significant advantage.
