Placements24 is seeking a Senior Renewable Energy Project Manager to lead and deliver complex renewable energy initiatives from a remote location in South Africa. You will scope, plan, execute, and close projects, coordinating virtual teams across dispersed locations and ensuring milestones, budgets, and regulatory compliance are met.

The ideal candidate has 7+ years in project management, including 4+ in renewables, with PMP/PRINCE2 and strong leadership, communication, and vendor-management

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Environmental Science, or related field.
• Master's degree is a plus.
• 7+ years of progressive project management experience, 4+ in renewables.
• PM certifications (PMP/PRINCE2) desirable.
• Strong understanding of renewable energy technologies, markets and regulation.
• Excellent leadership, communication and remote-team management skills.
• Proficiency with PM software (MS Project, Asana, Primavera).
• Experience with contract negotiation and vendor management.
• Ability to analyze complex data and make informed decisions.

Requirements

• Proven track record of successfully managing large-scale energy projects.
• PMP, PRINCE2, or other relevant project management certifications are highly desirable.
• Strong understanding of renewable energy technologies, market trends, and regulatory landscapes.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to manage remote teams effectively.
