Job summary
Placements24 is seeking a Solar Energy Engineer to join a fully remote team. Design and optimize PV systems for utility-scale and distributed projects, leveraging PV design software and CAD tools.
Collaborate with project managers, installers, and clients to ensure performance and cost-efficiency of solar installations. The role requires a Bachelor's degree in a related field and at least 4 years of PV system design experience, with a strong emphasis on staying current with industry standards
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Mechanical or related field.
- Minimum of 4 years of experience in designing and engineering solar PV systems.
- Proficiency with solar design software (PVSyst, Aurora Solar, Helioscope) and CAD tools.
Responsibilities
- Design and engineer PV systems including site assessment, sizing, component selection, and electrical design.
- Develop detailed technical drawings, specs, and bills of materials for solar installations.
- Perform energy production modeling and financial analysis for project viability and performance.
- Conduct design reviews of proposed designs and existing installations for optimization.
- Collaborate with procurement and construction to ensure adherence to specs and quality.
- Stay current with advancements in solar tech, codes and standards.
