Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a Remote Solar Energy Systems Designer for a forward-thinking energy solutions provider in South Africa. You will design PV systems for residential, commercial, and industrial clients, using Helioscope and Aurora Solar to create performance simulations and detailed drawings.

This fully remote role requires a Bachelor's in Electrical Engineering or Renewable Energy, at least 3 years of PV design experience, and strong collaboration and problem-solving skills to support

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Renewable Energy, or related technical field.

Responsibilities

• Design residential, commercial, and industrial solar PV systems using Helioscope and Aurora Solar.
• Conduct site assessments and performance simulations to optimize energy output.
• Prepare detailed technical drawings, electrical schematics, and installation guides.
• Select solar panels, inverters, mounting hardware, and other components.
• Ensure designs comply with South African building codes and electrical regulations.
• Provide technical support to installation teams and answer client inquiries.
