Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a forward-thinking Remote Electrical Design Engineer focused on renewable energy projects. You will design electrical systems for solar, wind, and energy storage, and coordinate with a global team to optimize performance.

The role requires a strong background in renewable energy design, proficiency with PVSyst/Helioscope/ETAP, and experience with grid interconnection standards. Remote work with flexible hours is offered.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
5+ years of experience designing electrical systems with emphasis on renewable energy technologies.
Proficiency with electrical design software and simulation tools (PVSyst, Helioscope, ETAP).
Strong knowledge of grid interconnection standards and distributed energy resources.

Responsibilities

Design electrical systems for solar, wind, and energy storage projects, including single-line diagrams and wiring schematics.
Perform feasibility studies and site assessments for new installations.
Conduct electrical calculations (load analysis, energy yield estimations, protection coordination).
Ensure designs comply with IEC/IEEE standards and utility interconnection requirements.
Collaborate with project managers, civil engineers, and external stakeholders in a remote setting.
Develop technical documentation, proposals, and project reports.
