Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a remote Electrical Design Engineer focused on renewable energy projects. You will design electrical systems for solar PV installations, produce single-line diagrams and layouts, and ensure designs meet grid interconnection and safety requirements.

The ideal candidate has 5–10 years in electrical design, proficiency with AutoCAD Electrical and PV software, and strong remote collaboration skills.

Qualifications

• Degree in Electrical Engineering or closely related field.
• 5–10 years of experience in electrical design with renewable energy exposure.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD Electrical, PV software or similar tools.
• Strong understanding of grid interconnection requirements and energy storage basics.
• Excellent written and verbal communication for remote collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Design electrical systems for utility-scale and commercial renewable energy projects.
• Develop single-line diagrams, 3D electrical models, and grounding designs.
• Perform power system studies including load calculations and short-circuit analysis.
• Specify components such as switchgear, transformers, inverters, and cables.
• Ensure designs comply with relevant electrical codes and standards.
• Collaborate with project managers, site engineers, and clients via virtual channels.
