Placements24 is seeking a passionate Social Inclusion Advocate to join our remote team, serving the Paarl region and beyond. You will identify barriers to inclusion, develop strategies, and empower individuals to access social services and resources online.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Social Sciences, Law, Public Policy or related field.
• Proven advocacy experience and community organising or social work.
• Understanding of social justice, human rights and inclusion principles.
• Excellent research, analytical and communication skills.
• Strong negotiation and influencing abilities.
• Experience working with diverse communities in the Western Cape.
• Proficiency with digital collaboration tools and virtual communication.

Responsibilities

• Identify barriers to social inclusion for vulnerable populations.
• Develop and implement advocacy strategies for equitable access to services.
• Educate individuals and communities about rights and resources.
• Liaise with government agencies, organisations, and service providers.
• Provide support to individuals navigating complex systems.
• Conduct virtual outreach and information sessions.
• Develop resources on social inclusion topics.
• Monitor policy changes and advocate for progressive policies.
• Maintain detailed records of advocacy efforts and outcomes.
• Collaborate with colleagues in a remote team setting.
