Job summary

Placements24 is recruiting a Remote Community Advocate for a national non-profit focused on improving access to social services in the Eastern Cape. This fully remote role involves engaging communities via digital channels, guiding clients through welfare programs, and maintaining secure case records from a home office.

Qualifications

• 2+ years in social support, advocacy, or client service.
• Strong written and verbal communication.
• Proficient with video conferencing tools (Zoom/Teams) and email.

Responsibilities

• Conduct remote outreach with individuals and community groups via phone, email, and video.
• Provide information and support on accessing social services, benefits, and resources.
• Assist clients in navigating application processes and understanding program requirements.
• Identify community needs and emerging issues through remote consultations.
• Develop and disseminate informative content (FAQs, guides) for community members.
• Maintain confidential client records in a secure digital environment.
• Collaborate with internal teams and partner organisations to facilitate referrals.
• Advocate for clients' needs within the framework of social service systems.
• Participate in virtual team meetings and contribute to program development.
