Job summary

Placements24 seeks a Senior Subsurface Geologist to lead interpretation and modeling of reservoirs for exploration and development within a fully remote subsurface team. You will work with well logs, cores, and seismic data, and mentor junior geologists while collaborating with global colleagues.

The ideal candidate has 8+ years in subsurface geology, proficiency with Petrel/GeoGraphix/Kingdom, and strong sedimentology/stratigraphy knowledge.

Qualifications

8+ years of subsurface geology experience in oil & gas
Proficiency in geological interpretation and modeling software
Strong knowledge of sedimentology, stratigraphy, and structural geology
Excellent communication for remote collaboration

Responsibilities

Develop and interpret geological models from well logs, core data, seismic interpretations
Evaluate exploration opportunities and assess geological risk
Contribute to field development planning by defining reservoir architecture and heterogeneity
Integrate geological data with geophysical and engineering data for a comprehensive subsurface understanding
Utilize geological software for data management, analysis, and visualization
Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams in a virtual environment
Mentor junior geologists and foster best practices in geological interpretation
Prepare and present geological reports and prospect evaluations
Stay current with geological concepts, technologies, and industry trends
