Placements24 is seeking a Senior Structural Engineer for a fully remote role influencing major building and infrastructure projects. The ideal candidate has a Master’s in Structural Engineering, Pr Eng with ECSA, and 10+ years of progressive design experience.

You will lead design, perform advanced analyses, and mentor teams across dispersed locations. Join a results-oriented, independent environment with cutting-edge tools and international project exposure.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Structural Engineering or related field.
• Professional Engineer (Pr Eng) registration with ECSA.
• 10+ years of progressive structural engineering experience, building design focus.
• Expertise in advanced structural analysis software (ETABS, SAP2000, RAM).
• Strong knowledge of materials (concrete, steel, timber) and SANS codes.

Responsibilities

• Lead structural design for complex building projects with safety and feasibility in mind.
• Perform advanced structural analysis and interpret results for optimization.
• Develop structural drawings, specifications and reports for review and approval.
• Mentor junior engineers and design teams working remotely.
• Collaborate with architects, PMs and clients via digital channels.
• Stay updated on trends, materials and technologies in structural engineering.
