Placements24 seeks a highly experienced Senior Civil Engineer (Structural) to lead design and analysis on complex infrastructure projects. The role requires Pr.Eng registration with ECSA, a Civil Engineering degree, and 8+ years in structural design, with proficiency in SAP2000, ETABS, STAAD.Pro, AutoCAD, and Revit.

You will work remotely with a distributed team across time zones, ensuring compliant, economical designs and mentorship to junior engineers.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering.
• Professional registration (Pr.Eng) with ECSA is essential.
• Minimum of 8 years of progressive experience in civil engineering, with a focus on structural design and analysis.

Responsibilities

• Lead the structural design and analysis of diverse civil projects using CAD and structural analysis software.
• Develop detailed design reports, calculations, and drawings per SANS codes and project specs.
• Conduct remote feasibility studies and technical assessments with expert recommendations.
• Collaborate with remote project managers, clients, and other disciplines to ensure project execution and deadlines.
• Perform quality control checks on design work ensuring safety and regulatory compliance.
• Mentor and provide technical guidance to junior engineers in a remote setup.
